Improving the Mental Health Journey: UX Design for Goalie’s Digital Therapy Platform

UX Design, UX Research

Context

How can we enhance the patient experience in digital mental healthcare?

As part of the product team at Sense Health, I worked on Goalie, an mHealth platform supporting therapy for depression and anxiety through CBT-based interventions and context-aware technology. The platform enables therapists to build personalized care plans while keeping patients engaged via a mobile app.

My role focused on user experience innovation—researching needs, co-creating solutions, and designing and validating new features that improve treatment adherence and usability for both patients and care providers.

Results

✅ Improved alignment between therapist workflows and app features, enhancing clinical integration

✅ Designed and tested new in-app interactions that supported higher patient engagement during care plans

✅ Contributed to feature development that increased platform adoption by care organizations

✅ Helped the team balance user needs with product and business goals—strengthening Goalie’s value as a scalable digital mental health tool
